Joyful Worship

This is also a catch-up blog and was written on Wednesday night! Since arriving in Kenya, we’ve participated in incredibly joyful worship at the Nairobi Chapel Sunday morning service, Beacon of Hope morning worship and Bissil Tuesday night worship; I hope the sounds of the women’s voices at Beacon of Hope and the images of the men’s dances at Bissil stay with me forever. On Tuesday morning, the message shared with us at the Beacon of Hope was especially poignant. I was reminded of how universal God’s words are across thousands of years or thousands of miles and although the burden facing the women at Beacon of Hope can be beyond words; I’ve never heard God’s promise of hope loader than I heard here. We’ve truly been blessed to participate in God’s plan at Beacon of Hope.

Hi Team Kenya,
Good to hear news on the blog, we were wondering what you've been up to, but personally, it must be hard to do all that exciting and draining work as well as keep up a blog. So when news comes, we are grateful. I love the words Linda wrote about the universal and long-standing hope of God.
Am glad you are all finding yourselves to be the hands and feet of God, as we all are wherever we go, whatever we do.
We'll be praying for you for these last few days....as well as for Lizzi, especially that she would write on the blog :-)
Love, Mom (Jeanie)

HEY KENYA TEAM!
I was very excited to sit down and read your blog after returning back to Madison yesterday morning from Peru. We had a challenging and amazing trip, that was truely controlled by the Lord and what He wanted for us. I will continue to pray for your team, Beacon of Hope and all the emotions, physical struggles and praises to God you continue to encounter. Brenda, Tony, and Amy- the strike in Pucallpa ended for a week and we were able to get to La Merced, I have pictures of Sharol and Ingrid and told them about your trip to Africa. Corey sends her love to you three as well.

Can't wait to here more from the field.

love, laura t.

So glad to hear about all of your adventures with these people. How awesome it must be to praise the Lord and worship Him in the midst of the trials they must be going through. God is so good to each one of us. Bless His Name!
Love you & miss you, Kortney
